Two Prestigious Awards for Dr. Canan Dağdeviren, the Member of KHAS Board of Trustees
20 April 2021Dr. Canan Dağdeviren, the member of Board of Trustees at Kadir Has University, and the head of the Conformable Decoders research group at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab has received the 2021 National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER) award and the 3M Non-Tenured Faculty award for promising young scientists.
Canan Dağdeviren graduated from the Department of Physics Engineering at Hacettepe University in 2007 and completed her Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering Program at Sabancı University in 2009. She received her Ph.D. from the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the University of Illinois in the USA in 2014. During her doctorate intern, she studied flexible and foldable electronic instruments that can be injected into the body or on the skin in areas falling within the scope of physics, electronics, chemistry, material science, and medicine. Continuing her research at MIT Media Lab, Dr. Dağdeviren has been a member of the Board of Trustees at Kadir Has University since 2019.
