Murat Tabanlıoğlu to be the First Guest of KHAS Art, Design and Architecture Talks

In the first of our newly launched Art, Design, and Architecture Talks, Murat Tabanlıoğlu (Tabanlıoğlu Architects, TA_) will deliver the Opening Lecture of the Fall semester addressing the faculty and students. The lecture will feature the much-renowned architect’s recent projects across the globe. He will also introduce the new joint graduate program at Kadir Has University, which will accept its first students in the upcoming Spring semester. Coordinated by Murat Tabanlıoğlu, the Architecture and Urban Studies Graduate Program (non-thesis) will focus on the theme of Port Cities. Tabanlıoğlu’s lecture will also touch upon the issue of architectural education and preparing architecture students to tackle and offer sustainable design solutions to the current urban and ecological issues.

The event will begin with opening remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design at KHAS, Prof. Dr. Banu Manav, and will be moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Kılınç from the Architecture Department. The opening lecture can be followed on Zoom and will be broadcast live on Khas Youtube channel.
