In the 38th event of KHAS Public Colloquium series, our guest will be Prof. Daniel Alberts from Williams College Department of Physics. Prof. Aalberts is a computational biophysicist who studies the mRNA sequence features that influence protein production. At Williams College, Aalberts and his students have invented RNA folding algorithms, formulated polymer theories of RNA loops, and modeled the photochemistry of vision. He teaches computational biology and throughout the Physics curriculum. Aalberts earned his SB and PhD degrees in Statistical Physics from MIT.
