New Faces at KHAS School of Foreign Languages

Tuğçe Aras Vural, Visiting Lecturer

Tuğçe Aras Vural received her bachelor’s degree from the English Language and Literature department in 2012 as an honor student. In 2021, she received her master’s degree from the same department. She also completed the pedagogical formation certificate program offered by Yeditepe University.

Before becoming a member of Kadir Has University, she worked for Istanbul Medipol University and Altınbaş University as a level coordinator and testing and assessment unit member. In addition, she attended “The 3rd International Conference on Literature and Linguistics” organized by Hellenic American University in Athens in 2019 as a speaker, and she owns two international publications.

s a European Union volunteer, she participated in several projects in Germany and Austria on behalf of non-governmental organizations, including SCI. Besides, she participated in ELT/ELL conferences, workshops, and training in her field and obtained certificates. 

 

Ayşen Coşar Musluer, Visiting Lecturer

Ayşen Coşar Musluer graduated from Ankara University English Language and Literature Department in 2000. After graduation, she decided to work as an EFL teacher and worked for private schools and language schools for six years. 

She got her MSc degree in TESOL-Bilingual Education in 2008 at Southern Connecticut State Üniversitesi. During her master’s study, she worked for a public school and an adult education center in Connecticut, USA, to improve her skills in teaching ESL. With this experience, she learned the importance of cultural differences in language learning and could apply her knowledge gained in actual classes during her master’s education. 

Upon her graduation, she moved back to Turkey. She worked for various universities in İstanbul and gained a lot of experience in EFL-ESL teaching.

 

Nazlı Çalışkan, Visiting Lecturer

Nazlı Çalışkan holds a BA degree in English Language Literature Department from Gaziantep University and an MA degree in English Language Teaching on “Flipped Classroom” from Çağ University. She has completed CELTA and DELTA MOD 1&3. 

She worked in primary schools and high schools respectively for the Ministry of National Education from 2003 to 2005; then, she continued her academic journey at a higher educational institution. She worked as an A1 and B1 levels curriculum coordinator between 2012-2017. In 2017, she began to coordinate the Continuous Professional Development Unit (CPD Unit), which lasted for four years. 

Her main research areas are teacher’s development, learner autonomy, task-based teaching, and educational technology in ELT.
